In preparation for the upcoming 2024 election, our nonprofit has assessed, scoped, planned and drilled down designs to make “getting out the vote” easier:
Envision dynamically created, regional-based workgroup hubs of volunteers which are based upon a volunteer’s opt-in interest settings, opt-in interactivity settings and most importantly, an opt-in volunteer setting that identifies the radius of their volunteerism coverage (eg: 30 miles) pertinent to their GPS-based location.
Assign hub name, description, city, state, county, voting district, parent hub, child hubs, team lead(s), manager(s), assign responsibilities, task lists, pinpoint specific GPS points of coverage and define other “hub” based attributes and properties.
Use filters to identify volunteers with required or preferred attributes such as multiple language fluency, race, gender, age range, specific skills, community leadership & involvement, personally owned resources (that are required to perform certain tasks), education, availability, etc.
Use built-in workflows and processes to blast out invitations to volunteers, vet volunteers, onboard volunteers, assign and schedule task lists to volunteers (with sub-tasks) that encapsulate all activities related to “getting out the vote”.
Workgroup hubs may be cloned for a different location. Just change a few properties, refresh volunteer selection, tweak a few settings, launch and let the leads take over with management oversight. Note hubs or sub-hubs do not need to be location-based (for tasks such as proofing signage, graphic design, researching regional demographics of a neighborhood, verifying adherence to door knocking laws, creation of identification tags, crafting/generating and distributing approved PDF or hard-copy handout content to hub team leads.)
For all workgroup hubs, sub-hubs, tasks or sub-tasks, progress tracking will notify team leads and higher management when the objective is behind schedule based upon projection algorithms which incorporate completion due dates, inherited dates, dependency-based dates, percentage complete status and hours of effort expended to date.
Using this platform, getting out the vote in one neighborhood or all neighborhoods in a city or all cities in a state or all states of the entire country becomes a matter of selecting options, defining properties, assigning a reusable task list, cloning, tweaking and then simply following proven and optimized workflow processes, each of which are grouped, organized and accessed by state, city, county, voting district or neighborhood.
Our nonprofit will complete this within 4 to 5 months of commencement (we need to kick off before we can start on this). Note that this technology is reusable and can be used by any social movement or organization to complete almost any goal – just change the topic, task list, select options and go.
